"Thanks, Darlin'." I said as I pulled the glass towards me. I passed her some money, making sure I brushed her hand. I felt it again, almost like an electric shock shooting from where we touched all the way through my body to my wolf. He jumped up, alert and ready to claim. There is no mistaking it this time. She's my Mate. I looked into her eyes as they changed from chocolate brown to her wolf's amber eyes. She felt it too, her wolf knew. She snatched her hand back and looked at it like it was an alien.
"Sorry about that, must be static electricity or something."
"Or something." I growled as she rushed off to serve another customer.
